Northglenn is a Home Rule Municipality in Adams and Weld counties in the U.S. state of Colorado. It was built as a master planned community in 1959 by Jordon Perlmutter.
Demographics
As of the 2010 census the city's population was 35,789. Of the 11,610 households 33.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.6% were married couples living together, 11.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.3% were non-families. 23.0% of households were one person and 5.5% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.71 and the average family size was 3.19.
The age distribution was 26.7% under the age of 18, 9.9% from 18 to 24, 32.9% from 25 to 44, 20.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% 65 or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females, there were 100.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.7 males.
