Talem Home Care Works For The Kids!
The Talem Team was overjoyed to have the opportunity to whip up a heartfelt breakfast to support the non-profit organization, Brent’s Place. The mission of Brent’s Place is “To provide Safe-Clean housing and improve quality of life for children and families living with cancer and other immunocompromising conditions… one day at a time.” This amazing organization is a home away from home for families and children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses while they receive treatment at local hospitals.
Brent’s Place has roots in the Aurora community where they have been providing a safe home, a lot of hope, and healing needed by bridging the gap between hospital and home for the families they serve and support.
According to the American Cancer Society, childhood cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the US. The average age of diagnosis is 6 years old. Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. These heart-breaking facts weigh heavy on our hearts and is one of the main reasons Brent’s Place opened its doors years ago.
Though childhood cancer is an immense problem, you can help be a part of the solution to raise awareness, rally support, and improve America’s childhood cancer survival rates. Here is a simple list of items that Talem Home Care agency suggests you can do, to make a difference in our world today:
