Health Care Partners Raises over $1500 for the ALS Association Rocky Mountain Chapter
The second annual Ride With Reason: A Motorcycle Ride for Charity was an even bigger turn out than before.
A big thanks and the biggest reason for the success really goes out to all of the organizers and sponsors who helped. Organizers of the event include:
Talem Home Care, 50+ Marketplace News, Julia Temple Healthcare Center.
Additionally, we had the support of all these great sponsors:
All About Seniors INC., Amazing Care Home Health, Namaste Home Health and Hospice, Stagecoach Sports Grill in Evergreen.
The weather was perfect. The people were amazing. And the reason for the fundraiser is even better. ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. ALS commonly affects people between the ages of 40 and 70. It is estimates that approximately 20,000 Americans can have the disease at any given time (although this number fluctuates).
Last year, everyone who attended left with a renewed passion for creating awareness for the ALS Rocky Mountain Chapter (despite running into a little bit of rain). This year, that passion clearly showed.
Participation and the number of motorcycle riders’ increased from 18 last year to over 50 this year.
